Next ENB meeting, Thursday 13th August

The next ENB meeting will be held on Thursday, 13th August from 20.00. As it is August, we are again planning on having a more informal meeting on the rooftop of one of Barcelona’s finest hotels, as we did last year.

This year, we are very grateful to the Hotel Claris, a beautiful 5*GL hotel with a fantastic location at Pau Claris 150 (corner with Valencia). The Claris has kindly offered us a private space on their rooftop with a free welcome glass of cava.

There is no fee for this event, nor do you need to register, although it would be great if you could drop us a quick email at info@networkbarcelona.com to let us know if you will be coming so that we can have some idea of numbers.

‘Improving Your Presentation Skills’ Workshop with the American Society Barcelona - Tuesday 14th July

ENB would ike to announce to members that on Tuesday 14th July the American Society Barcelona (ASB) will be holding a workshop on ‘Improving Your Presentation Skills’ with special guest speaker Jeffery Breyer.

Areas covered include how to present in public with success, capture the attention of your target audience and use non-verbal communication to your advantage.

The interactive workshop will be followed by an informal networking session accompanied by drinks and pica pica.

As you know we have been running ENB for about 18 months and that time we have heard some great presentations and great ideas from some of Barcelona’s budding entrepreneurs. Our focus has been on the ‘ideas’ end of the spectrum, with companies that have either just set up or are about to set up or who have been running a short while.

Over the next few months, we want to highlight some of the businesses that are on their way to becoming slightly more established and that have been running for 3- 5 years in Barcelona. We will aim to find out the challenges that they have faced, the lessons they have learned and their prospect for the next 5 years in Barcelona.


This week we have the pleasure in inviting two special guests to speak, the first being our very own Board Director Tony Anagor from Lifestyle Experiences Group SL.

Timo is the founder of one of Barcelona’s leading tourist scooter rental companies COOLTRA http://www.cooltra.com, providing tourists with the unique opportunity to see the city from a ‘local perspective’. Timo will be taking us through the ups and downs of running a successful business in Barcelona and giving us an insight into their strategy for short and long-term growth in Barcelona and across Spain.

As always there will be an opportunity for ENB members to participate in a Q&A session afterwards where they can probe the speakers for further information and possible advice.
