SPEAKERS:

Piero Poli
VP Business Development and Strategy
LINQIA

Piero has spent the last 10 years following his passion for digital around the globe and working with some of the world’s largest brands in helping them navigate the digital landscape. He has envisioned and implemented digital communication strategies and go-to-market approaches for some of Australia’s leading companies (GM/Holden, Telstra and Diners Club), and helped some of Europe’s largest brands (Ladbrokes, Pringles, Pampers, Hugo Boss) to be brave online and effect positive return on their marketing activities through his senior roles at leading digital agencies in London. Part commercialization, part inspiration and part implementation, Piero’s focus is always on partnering for shared value.

Piero worked in the music industry, as the former Director of Digital Marketing (EMEA) for Warner Music International and also managed a global publishing house based in Barcelona which offers him practical insight into the power of content and conversations to build and drive value for brands. Piero has recently taken a role as the VP of Business Development and Strategy for Linqia an internet startup which monetizes social networks by connecting businesses to online communities and groups.

About LINQIA – The Linqia marketplace helps monetize social networks by attracting valuable partners.

Linqia presents relevant and interesting commercial partners to social networks who bring affiliate deals, advertising, sponsorships, content, new members, products and innovative technologies.

Key decision makers at social networks register to Linqia for free and specify what type of opportunities they are interested in receiving. Linqia approves commercial partners to present their opportunities to selected social networks which Linqia sends to the key decision maker via the marketplace.

Today, there exists over 2,000 social networks with dozens more launched every week. With the exception of the bigger social networks such as Facebook, Bebo, MySpace and LinkedIN, many struggle to monetize and attract valuable commercial interest.

90% of social networks cater to specific niches and groups of people and invest heavily into technology, support, business development and marketing. Linqia acts as a supporting business development arm for key decision makers (CEO, Business Development, Key Account) at social networks and sources interesting opportunities from prospective commercial partners.

With Linqia, social networks can:

•    Increase their visibility to prospective commercial partners
•    Attract valuable commercial partners to monetize their offering, provide content, sponsorship, promotions & competitions, market research and much more.
•    Specify their interests and needs
•    Accept or decline opportunities
•    Protect their identify - with no obligation or cost
