Additional information on our speakers:
Damien Harris: is Australian but has lived in Europe for over 10 years since graduation. He started his career in a Swedish Publishing House, focusing on Direct Marketing, particularly in developing markets. After Sweden he first specialized in Eastern Europe. Following 3 years based in Poland and growing the sales to over €10 million the opportunity arose to tackle the Iberian market and he moved to Spain in 2001.
In Spain Damien discovered his entrepreneurial gene and changed firstly from employee to independent consultant and simultaneously started testing concepts in the tourism market. As a consultant he applied his experience as a specialist at geographical expansion. Conducting market entry research and implementation for various companies in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Mexico, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia and India.
Following a personal decision to stop living out of a suitcase Damien focused on finding a new business opportunity that could be based in Barcelona. Through the newsletter Springwise the idea to bring GoCar to Europe, starting in Barcelona was born. GoCar Barcelona launched in May 2008. www.gocartours.es
