As a result of the ENB Round Table meeting, we will be working with ENB member Jeaninne Horowitz and her students from the Entrepreneurship courses she runs at the Pompeu Fabra University and a USA Student Exchange Programme. ENB and their members will be set as a case study and students will be contacting ENB members to carry out an interview about them, their businesses and experience as an Entrepreneur. The interviews will either take place over the telephone, via email or in person at your offices. There will also be 20 students attending the next social meeting on the 16th of October to carry out brief face-to-face interviews. We believe this to be a very positive and effective way of not only finding out more information about our members, their companies, their needs and reasons for their involvement with ENB, but also great coverage for those companies approached. We therefore ask that all members please be willing to take part in the interviews if contacted - it will be of benefit to all of us! In addition some ENB members will be speaking to students at the Pompeu Fabra about their own experiences as Entrepreneurs. This week saw ENB members Scott Doane from Vision 33 and Lucy Davis and DAP Creative talking to students about their companies and experiences as Entrepreneurs both in the UK and in Barcelona. The sessions were great fun with students asking lots of questions about what it takes to start a company, the problems encountered, the advantages and disadvantages of being self-employed and funding opportunities. Scott and Lucy also discussed with them some of the ideas the students had for their projects/case studies that they are currently working on. Scott and Lucy also talked to students about ENB, who we are and what we do. The students were very curious as to the types of businesses envolved and were excited to hear about the benefits of effective networking. Next week Clare Doane from Barcelona Wedding will also be visiting the students. ENB look to continue working with the Pompeu Fabra students in the future and will look to other ENB members to also get involved. The ENB Team
