ENB Seminar: Thursday 8th May, 2008
Lucy Davis from DAP Creative talking about branding
This months ENB meeting started with a seminar on Branding and the Importance of Design.
Oscar Villacampa from Ondho and Lucy Davis from DAP Creative gave two very interesting and useful presentations about branding and the importance of good design for businesses today. The seminar was a great success, with members asking lots of questions and taking lots of notes. We hope that the members who attended were able to take home with them some useful tips on how to develop their brand and some creative ideas for incorporating good design into their promotional and marketing media.
There was a third speaker Derry Birkett from DT2 Studio who unfortunately was unable to present due to the seminar running over time. We are all sorry Derry wasn’t able to participate, however we will be sure to ask him to return to take part in another seminar soon.
We would like to remind all members attending the seminars to please be punctual as it is very important that the seminars start on time. The next seminar on the 12th of June will be starting a little later at 7.30pm, to allow you all that extra time to arrive. This means that the social meeting afterwards will be starting at 8.30pm.
ENB Social Meeting: Thursday 8th May, 2008
Once again the social evening was a great success. It was wonderful to see lots of new faces!
Robert Craig (Guide Out to Barcelona) and Tony Anagor (Lifestyle Barcelona) announced during the evening the ENB Business Awards that they will be starting this year. Over the next coming weeks Rob and Tony will contacting members with more news about the business awards and how people can get involved.
We would like to thank the speakers who gave their two minute presentations. We cannot emphasize enough how important this opportunity is to sell yourselves to fellow ENB members. At every meeting more and more contacts are being made, clients being found, partnerships/collaborations being formed. We ask that members take this into account when making their presentations - you never know who’s listening! Not only is it an excellent platform for practicing your pitch, but also to reach out and hopefully gain some business. So let’s try and make these presentations a bit more punchy, accurate and impactful!
We ask that ENB members also be proactive in promoting the network, please where possible try and encourage other entrepreneurs you know to join. Why not invite them along to one of the meetings, so they can see what we’re about.
The website has been designed by the members for the members, so please feel free to contribute. We are always interested to receive news about members businesses and are happy to promote any related events. We would like you all to contribute and share useful information via the website, so if you know of any interesting articles, conferences, events etc., that you think may be of interest, please send them in.
We hope you all have a great bank holiday weekend!

As you can see me on the first picture, I enjoyed it.
Branding is important.
It has been scientifically proven that your clients needs to be aware of your business for at least 5 times before they want to do business with you.
The key question is, how are you going to do that with a small budget?
Think about it and you will know the answers.
Ps. The photo’s are great!
