A Summer Social - Thursday August 14th

August 6th, 2008

Hi Everybody,

The streets are empty and the temperature just keeps on climbing, but there are still a few mad dogs prepared to venture out in the midday sun.

For those of you still in Barcelona next week, we’d like to invite you to the ‘Rooftop Sundowners’, a purely social gathering to be held on the rooftop terrace of the The Hotel Condes de Barcelona Passeig de GrĂ cia, 73-75. Please note that the terrace is above No. 73, not No. 75.

The date is next Thursday, August 14th.

The Hotel Condes de Barcelona occupies a prime location on Paseo de Gracia, in the heart of Modernist Barcelona and facing the famous Gaudi building La Pedrera.

The evening kicks off at 8.00pm and will follow a strict format of casual socialising. There are no presentations planned, and no speeches.

The normal ENB meetings will be back in full force in September. Watch this space closely for details of our first meeting after the summer.

If you’d like to see some pictures of where we’re meeting next week, log on to:

There is no admission charge, you just pay for what you consume.

As normal, it would help if you could confirm your attendance in advance.

See you next week,

ENB Team

ENB Summer Social Special Round Up

July 28th, 2008

At last months ENB meeting, we were delighted to see over 60 ENB members turn out to take part in our ENB Summer Social Special – a private boat trip around Barcelona port on the Catamaran Orsom.

Members were relaxing, sipping drinks in the company of fellow entrepreneurs, enjoying the great views of Barcelona, as well as the soothing sounds of live jazz and chill out music.

We were especially pleased to see lots of new members come along, for some of whom it was their first ENB experience. The feedback from these members and others about the event was very positive. Many expressed the ease at which they were able to network, and how open fellow members were in welcoming them to the group.

All the money made on the bar will go towards future events and seminars.

We would like to thank all of you who attended, and for your ongoing support.

For those members who will be in Barcelona next month, we would like to invite you all to the next meeting which will be on Thursday 14th August at the Hotel Condes de Barcelona, Passeig de Gracia 73, at 20.00. We hope to extend our Summer Social Special vibe by enjoying the cool summer breeze and city views on the roof terrace!

We look forward to seeing you there.

Are you looking for multilingual help for your firm over the summer?

July 7th, 2008

I am a near-native English speaker and I am looking for a summer job in Barcelona.

I am 22 years old and was born and brought up in Barcelona, but I have been studying in Vienna for several years and have just spent a year in Poland.

As well as English, I speak Catalan, Castilian, German, French, Polish and Russian. I have experience in office work and dealing with international customers. I’ll be happy to send you my CV. Just give me a call. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

SPOTLIGHT June 2008: Paul Gregson

June 19th, 2008

Eat your plate!

EAT YOUR PLATE!

A real alternative to plastic and polystyrene food containers is now available in Spain.

NVYRO [“enviro”] is launching its range of cups, plates, bowls and trays into the market to satisfy the growing need for greener, more environmentally friendly catering disposables. Made from natural plant, after use the products can be composted or left to naturally degrade (a process that is accelerated when in prolonged contact with moisture). As the products are made from 100% food-grade material they are edible [although the taste is a little bland].

NVYRO products are used in a wide range of locations in the UK including very high profile Government Offices, Fortnum & Mason, at the Glastonbury Festival, the Forestry Commission and many more. Companies are on the whole using the products for outdoor catering, staff and school canteens and immediately eaten take-away food.

If you want to find out more contact Paul Gregson on 666 496507 or visit the NVYRO website, www.nvyro.com

Calling all Women Entrepreneurs!!!

June 17th, 2008

We received this email this morning

To whom it may concerned,

I have provided your e-mail address through Metropolitan magazine.

I am a master student in EADA in Spain. I am working on a quantitative research project for my thesis. The project’s objective is to find out the reasons behind the motivation of foreign female entrepreneurial activity in Spain. The target group is women from European Union (excluding Spain) who started up their business in Spain.

I would be grateful if you could provide me some contacts who speak English to conduct my questionnaire. The survey will take 10 minutes maximum and in case of having some contacts, I will send the survey via mail. I really appreciate your collaboration and I will be really glad if you could help me. If you are interested, I would be glad to share the results of my research either I can send a copy of my thesis or you are more than welcomed if you would like to attend my presentation that will take place on 30th of July.

Thank you

Kind Regards

Eslin Levi
